Jackson’s snacks started out as humble beginnings in 2013 in the kitchen of Scott and Megan Reamer’s home in Crested Butte, Colorado. Their oldest son, Jackson, was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, and the company started making sweet potato chips for him as a low-inflammatory snack. After a $1.25 million investment from Mindshare winner Rohan Oza, Jackson's "Happier, Healthier Snacks" have now formed a community of passionate superfans and are sold nationwide through supermarket chains such as Whole Foods and Natural Markets, as well as local cooperatives retail within the range.

Now, the brand is adding a new production facility and is headquartered in Muskegon, Wisconsin, in the heart of the Midwest. Paired with modern equipment is a modern look, with packaging updates to the 1.5-ounce and 5-ounce snack bags that pay homage to the founder's son. "The product we're making today is the best product we've ever made, just like we started making small batches in the kitchen at home," said Scott Reimer.

"We're excited about the brand's new direction. The new packaging truly reflects its greatness. ' Jackson's marketing director, Stephanie Wysocki, provided more details.

Our brand update is a celebration of our superhero Jackson, who inspired our iconic sweet potato chips made with ancestor oils like coconut and avocado," she told Packaging Digest. "Our goal was to create a Brand identity, through the noise of messy snack aisles, quickly and visually communicates the quality products inside and tells our story. "For Jackson, it started with a small smile.

"Our reimagined logotype reinforces the brand's positivity and well-being in the shape of a small smile, and is inspired by the heroic joy of the Reimer family," said Wysocki. "We are proud to believe that quality snacks start with quality. "In order to increase the fun on our packaging, 'Super Oil' moves on the packaging like a bright fragrance wave, bringing customers sweet potato chips with rich taste and natural color.

The brand’s story continues on the reverse side of the bag. “The reverse side of our potato chip bag tells Reamer’s story, celebrating the good in life by inviting customers to nominate their #DailySuperheroes . "Instead of updating with planning, Plant Operations presents a fresh start with new baggers and associated packaging operations with equipment that the makers know to focus on one thing: a dedicated sweet potato pot chip making and packaging planned factory.

According to Mike Walz, the company's chief operating officer, "The chips are lifted onto a platform above the packaging machine, the dressing is metered into a tumbling drum, and sent to into a 14-head Yamato scale system." The balance feeds the TNA in a straight manner to fill sealed bags and the finished bags flow to a rotating carousel for manual box packing. The boxes are pre-formed by Lantech's boxers.

From there, they are palletized by craftsmanship. "Jackson's four varieties are certified by the Non-GMO Project and are vegetarian, gluten-free, paleo, nut-free and kosher.
