The multihead weigher, as the basic equipment for the automation of the inspection and control process, is very important for the daily operation of the packaging production line. A large amount of important information will be generated during the operation of the multihead weigher, which needs to be transmitted to the data acquisition system of the packaging production line in time to obtain a direct and efficient return on investment and improve operational production efficiency. Users require that the multihead weigher should have a strong communication function. On the one hand, it should be able to communicate with the downstream equipment, and integrate the information of some sensors or detection systems in the downstream equipment into the weighing indicator of the multihead weigher. On the other hand, it should be able to communicate with the downstream equipment. The upstream control or management system communication integrates the information of the multihead weigher and its downstream equipment into the upper control and management system.
On the weighing indicator of the multihead weigher, there are usually various communication interfaces in order to realize integration with PLC (SCADA) systems, computer systems or other systems. The more advanced the production line, the more important the communication between the multihead weigher and the user's higher-level system. Multihead weigher vendors should also provide comprehensive software solutions ranging from simple point-to-point connections to sophisticated safety, network and statistical analysis packages to align production operations with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point requirements, compliance with external safety regulations and standards wider requirements.
