Linear weighers are used to accurately measure and dispense precise quantities of product into packaging containers, whether bags, bottles or boxes. Linear weigher machine usually consist of a series of weighing hoppers or weighing barrels, which contain the product to be dispensed. The hopper is equipped with a load sensor to measure the weight of the product inside the hopper and is connected to a control system that opens and closes a discharge door or chute to release the product into a packaging container.
