During the gravity feed cycle, the speed of the screw conveyor is controlled according to the instantaneous flow rate to achieve a steady feed; during the refill cycle, the screw conveyor speed is maintained at the same speed as before the start of the cycle, and in a constant volume flow control mode feed.
