In addition to metal cans, the packaging of compressed biscuit food usually adopts moisture-proof cellophane, plastic-coated oriented polypropylene, aluminum foil composite film, polystyrene and wax-coated cellophane. Of course, polyvinylidene chloride-coated cellophane has excellent moisture-proof and oxygen-barrier properties, and can be heat-sealed, with high surface gloss and good puncture resistance, making it an ideal packaging material.
The economy of plastic-coated oriented polypropylene is good, but it is slightly less adaptable to the process of automatic packaging machines. In addition, polyvinylidene chloride coated paper is also a good packaging material. The general shelf life of compressed biscuits is about three months. If the aluminum box composite material is used, the shelf life can be extended under humid atmospheric conditions.
