August 16, 2021

We alll know that Smart Weigh multihead weigher can weight product via weight, do you know whether it can count pcs? The answer is YES!

Smart Weigh multihead weigher can weight and count.

Today our topic is explaining the counting principle of multihead weigher.

Multihead weigher counts how many pcs are there in each weighing hopper first, then it sarts combining according to preset number of target pcs. In this process, the key point is that whether each weighing hopper can count accurately.

In that way, how is the weighing hopper counted? First we need to collect 3 weights from about 100 pcs: Max. weight (hereinafter called Max.), Min. weight (hereinafter called Min.) and Ave. weight. (hereinafter called Ave.)

Then, program counts as below formula:

First step: Sensor works and records weights of each weighing hopper.

Second step: If 1*Min.=< 1*Wei.< =1*Max., it means there is 1 piece in weighing hopper.

If not, then follow second formula.

If 2*Min.=<2*Wei.<=2*Max., it means there are 2 pcs in weighing hopper.

If not, then follow third formula.

If 3*Min.=<3*Wei.<=3*Max., it means there are 3 pcs in weighing hopper.

           ...

           ...

           ...

If not, then follow next formula.

If K*Min.=<K*Wei.<=K*Max., it means there are K pcs in weighing hopper.

If K>3000, it means parameters (Max., Min. and Ave.) are not set according to

actual products conditions by user, and need to be reset.

Last, how to count the number of max pcs in weighing hopper? It relates to Max. and Min...

If 2*Min.<Max., it means weighing hopper only can count 1 pcs at most. (e.g. Max.=25g, Min.=10g, Wei.=22g, according to above formula, there could be 1 piece (close to Max.) or 2 pcs (close to Min.). In that case, Multihead Weigher cannot identify if it is 1 or 2. Thus, what we can do is to control only 1 piece will be filled in weighing hopper.

However, if 2*Min.>Max., then follow next formula. If 3*Min.<2*Max., it means weighing hopper only can count 2 pcs at most. In that case, what we can do is to control only 1 or 2 pcs will be filled in weighing hopper.

However, if 3*Min.>2*Max., then follow next formula. If 4*Min.<3*Max., it means weighing hopper only can count 3 pcs at most. In that case, what we can do is to control only 1 or 3 pcs will be filled in weighing hopper.

However, if 4*Min.>3*Max., then follow next formula. If 5*Min.<4*Max., it means weighing hopper only can count 4 pcs at most. In that case, what we can do is to control only 1 or 4 pcs will be filled in weighing hopper.

However, if 5*Min.>4*Max., then follow next formula. If 6*Min.<5*Max., it means weighing hopper only can count 5 pcs at most. In that case, what we can do is to control only 1 or 5 pcs will be filled in weighing hopper.

...

...

...

However, if (k-1)*Min.>(K-2)*Max., then follow next formula. If K*Min.<(K-1)*Max., it means weighing hopper only can count K-1 pcs at most. In that case, what we can do is to control only 1 or K-1 pcs will be filled in weighing hopper.
